• Director of the Ministery of Education branch in the Eastern Province: We support private investment and stress Saudization jobs

    On Monday April 15, 2019, Asharqia Chamber held a meeting with a number of investors in the civil education at the headquarters of Asharqia Chamber in the presence of the Chairman of the Education and Training Committee in the Chamber Khalid bin Hamoud Al-Juwairah and members of the Committee and the civil education teacher Awad al-Maliki.

     

    The Director General of the Ministery of Education in the Eastern Region, Dr. Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Shalan, stressed the Ministry of Education's keenness to raise the participation rate of the private sector in education from 14% at present to 25%, and the conversion of 2000 public schools for operation by small enterprises by 2020, and unloading the school administration to develop the educational process.

    He said that the Ministry, which adopted the principle of encouraging participation of the private sector in education, has taken several steps in this field.

    Several measures have been taken to this end to prepare an integrated strategy to promote private sector participation in education, in addition to the establishment of offices to provide the required services to investors, improving the legislative environment with the relevant authorities, developing the electronic system supporting the private education, the modernization of the list of private education, and the expansion of kindergartens.

     

    Al-Shalan said that the most prominent feature of private investment in education is its support for the quality principle adopted by our wise government in all sectors, most notably the education sector, which includes (the quality of curricula and courses, quality of infrastructure, efficiency of educational and administrative frameworks, quality of basic and continuous configuration, optimal management of human and financial resources and continuous improvement.)

    One of the steps the Ministry intends to undertake to support private investment in the education sector is the conversion of 2000 public schools for operation by small enterprises by 2020 and unloading the school administration to develop the educational process.

    He stressed that the Ministry of Education and within the framework of its objectives for the development of civil participation in education puts in mind the issue of resettlement and Saudization, especially in private schools and specifically in leadership and supervision positions (Director, Deputy, Administrative Officer, Extracurricular activity teacher, orientation officer).​
